Blown Away By Outstanding Customer Service!
This weekend was a blast my son had his soccer tournament and placed second out of what seemed like hundreds of teams from different counties. But what made it extra special was not just that he took second place out of the multitude of teams but also New Sound Acoustics gained three brand new NRS customers while I was there! I was at the game and through the magic of modern technology I received transferred calls and emails from three different musicians from different parts of the country through my smart phone and I was able to answer their questions and meet their needs during the breaks in my son's games.
The request of two of my customers were wide ranging. The first just fell in love with a redwood top NRS and wanted one on the spot no changes. The other two were far apart on the spectrum of request. The second customer wanted a nylon string that did not carry the traditional width that a classical has. I walked through the options and measurements with him and wood combinations and he was amazed that I was tending to him the way I was as quickly as I was (he liked the 1 7/8" width I suggested). He was extremely appreciative that I took time for him during my son's game breaks and placed his order for a cedar top nylon NRS.
The third customer suffers from carpel tunnel syndrome. He needed a thinner neck with a low string fretting. I was able to walk through his questions with him and guide him in the set up of his guitar and he as well was amazed on my patience and concern for his injury and trying my best to meet his needs so we can keep him playing and performing as long and as comfortable as possible. He also placed his order.
After the game my son and I walked arm over shoulder together and I praised him for an awesome job and told him again that he was my favorite soccer player in the world! I also shared with him that I was able to meet the needs of three new customers and because I met them with kindness and knowledge they all made the decision to purchase an NRS! He was excited for me and said "great job dad!" I try to teach my son that if he is going to do something do it with all his heart, do it in an excellent way and have passion while doing it. He understands that because he also sees it living in me day-to-day as I continue to try and grow New Sound Acoustics. He sees my concern for the customer in little ways like implementing call forwarding to my phone or placing one of the staff members to be on call like doctors to instantly meet the needs of our customers no matter if it is day or night. While other guitar shops close for the day and make customers wait New Sound Acoustics likes to keep their finger on the pulse of what is happening out there musically.
I am proud of this little tiny company and what is has accomplished so far. If you notice, I still haven't added the cart to the site yet because we are still working on the grand opening and different pages to add to the site and updates we want to make before we "officially" open the online store. The customers are not waiting! They are calling in and because they are being met with superior customer service and true concern for them first, then their music, we are receiving orders in great numbers even before we are open! That is a great feeling.
